Cinnamon Sugar Tortillas
We had some leftover tortilla wraps that needed using up so I decided to find a recipe to turn them into a sweet treat for after dinner. They were delicious - my brother and I demolished them in one sitting.
They're very simple and easy to make.
Makes: 12
Prep: 5 mins
Cook: 4 mins
Total time: 9 mins
Ingredients
• Knob of butter
• 1 tortilla
• 1 heaped tbsp golden caster sugar
• 1 heaped tsp ground cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 C (fan)
- Grease a baking tray.
- Melt the butter in a microwave container (a few seconds should do it).
- Cut the tortilla into 12 wedges (I used a pizza cutter).
- Coat the wedges both sides with the melted butter (I used a pastry brush).
- Combine the cinnamon with the sugar and spread across a plate.
- Coat the tortilla chips with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Arrange the slices on a baking tray and bake at 180 C for 4 minutes until crisp and golden. (They go brown very quickly so keep an eye on them).
- Best eaten straight away - whilst warm.
